PhD Projects in Cosmology

The research interests of the Cosmology and Gravitation group span a wide range of important theoretical topics in modern cosmology. These include the very early universe, with particular emphasis on inflation and the cosmological aspects of superstring theory; the formation and evaporation of primordial black holes; dark matter, especially baryonic dark matter and MACHO searches; the microwave background and other cosmic radiation backgrounds; structure formation and interpretation of redshift surveys; and numerous relativistic aspects of cosmology.

We are happy to receive applications from postgraduates who are interested in undertaking research at the PhD level in the Cosmology and Gravitation Group in the Astronomy Unit at Queen Mary.
