17-iii-2010: Exercises 8 and Solutions 6 now available.
10-iii-2010: Exercises 7 now available.
8-iii-2010: Exercises 6, Solutions 4 and Solutions 5 now available.
22-ii-2010: The Cipher Challenge is now live.
17-ii-2010: Rules for Cipher Challenge Part 2 now available. This will not start just yet, but Friday 19th, at the earliest.
11-ii-2010: Slight error on Exercises 4, Question 4 corrected (of course it is 33 that has 7-bit representation 0100001, not 65).
10-ii-2010: Exercises 5 and Comments 1 now available on the web.
03-ii-2010: Exercises 4 and Solutions 1 and 2 now available on the web.
01-ii-2010: No exercise classes this week on either Wednesday 3rd February or Thursday 4th February. I shall be available during my office hours, and also Thursday (4th Feb) 2–3 pm in my office (Maths B54) to discuss the Cipher Challenge.
01-ii-2010: Your marked scripts to Exercises 1 will be available on Thursday 4th February at the earliest.

Lectures and Classes (Lent term, Winter/Spring 2010)

Lectures: Tuesday 1pm; Tuesday 3pm; Thursday 9am. All in Geography 126.
Classes: Wednesday 11am (surnames beginning A–M); Thursday 2pm (surnames beginning N–Z). Both in Queen’s EB 1.
Office Hours: Please see my main page. These will change from time to time.
Assignments: These should be handed in to the ORANGE box on the GROUND floor.

Classes will not occur every week: for instance there are no classes in Week 1, and nor will there be any throughout the Cipher Challenge.
